The Haunted Path

Sam loved Halloween more than anything. Every year, he dressed up as something cool. This year, he wanted to be a ghost. But not just any ghost – a super scary ghost!

At the costume store, Sam found the perfect ghost costume. It had long, flowing sleeves and a creepy mask. The store clerk smiled at Sam as he bought it, but there was something odd about his grin.

That night, Sam couldn’t wait to wear his new costume. He slipped it on, but when he looked in the mirror, something wasn’t right. The costume felt… alive. The sleeves moved by themselves, and the mask felt like it was tightening around his face.

“Help!” Sam tried to shout, but no sound came out. The costume was controlling him! It made him float out of his house and down the street. He passed by his friends, but they didn’t recognize him. They just thought he was a scary ghost.

As the night went on, Sam tried to pull off the mask, but it wouldn’t budge. Finally, he made it back to the costume store. The same clerk was waiting outside.

“I see you’ve met the real ghost,” he said with a grin. With a wave of his hand, the costume flew off Sam. Sam ran all the way home, promising to never wear that costume again.
