Five Little Monkeys
Five little monkeys bounced on the bed,
One took a tumble and bumped their head.
Mama called the doctor, who sternly said,
“No more monkeys jumping on the bed!”
Four little monkeys continued the play,
One slipped and fell—what a silly display!
Mama called the doctor, who had to say,
“No more monkeys jumping today!”
Three little monkeys hopped all around,
One lost their balance and hit the ground.
Mama phoned the doctor, who made a sound:
“No more monkeys jumping around!”
Two little monkeys still dared to leap,
One took a dive and began to weep.
Mama called the doctor, who said, “No sleep!
No more monkeys jumping, I repeat!”
One little monkey, bold and spry,
Bounced on the bed, aiming high.
Mama called the doctor with a heavy sigh:
“No more monkeys—oh my, oh my!”
No little monkeys left to defy,
No bumps, no tumbles, no reason to cry.
Mama called the doctor, who replied,
“Now put those monkeys to bed and say goodnight!”
