Medusa Before the Curse
Long ago, in the ancient city of Athens, there lived a girl named Medusa. Unlike the fearsome creature from legends, Medusa was a kind-hearted maiden known for her extraordinary beauty. Her golden hair sparkled under the sun, and her eyes shimmered like emeralds. But what truly made her special was her kindness. She loved helping those in need and bringing joy to everyone around her.
Medusa spent her days in the great temple of Athena, serving the goddess she admired. She swept the temple floors, arranged the flowers, and lit incense, all with a heart full of devotion. Visitors to the temple were mesmerized by her beauty and her grace. “She must be a gift from the gods,” they whispered.
But Medusa was humble. She never let the admiration change her gentle nature. She often said, “True beauty lies in our deeds, not our looks.”
One day, as Medusa walked through the city marketplace, a crowd gathered. A poet stood in the square, reciting tales of heroes and gods. Medusa joined the crowd, her heart racing with excitement. She loved stories and often dreamed of living in one. “What would it be like to be part of a legend?” she wondered.
Her life was peaceful, but not without challenges. Many were jealous of her beauty and spread rumors to tarnish her name. Yet, Medusa remained strong. “Kindness is my shield,” she said, smiling. Her words inspired the townsfolk, who admired her even more.
As time passed, Medusa’s fame reached beyond Athens. Kings and heroes came to catch a glimpse of her. Even gods noticed her. But it was this attention that would soon change her fate forever. Medusa’s story was only beginning, and the trials ahead would turn her life into the legend we now know.
